10 days out from the Gate River Run! The picture is of this year’s medal. I am addicted to race bling (more on that later). The GRR is a nationally recognized, very popular 15k race. I know a ton of folks locally who are running it and we are all very excited! It’s the only time of year we get to run over the Hart Bridge (aptly name “The Green Monster”). About a half mile of it is pure hell! I’m shooting for 1:22 this year which would be about 3 minutes faster than my PR. That’s an 8:48 pace which I think is pretty doable. I used this pace calculator tool to figure out the pace. Over the next ten days leading up to the race, running 18 miles this week and 21 the following week (including the Gate). Lots of rest, clean diet and doing a 7 day body cleanse that started this morning. I have no idea what this is going to be like, but I’m sure you will all hear about it at some point!
